Remove residue oil, which has more wax content from the refining process. Put it into a vacuum distillation apparatus to remove the distillate oil and separate it off. The purified paraffin consists mainly of straight chain saturated hydrocarbons (n-paraffin) having about 20 to 40 carbon atoms but may also contain a small amount of side chain saturated hydrocarbon (isoparaffin), naphthene and etc. Molecular weight is about 300 to 550.
