Synthetic wax
Depending on the composition, it is roughly divided into hydrocarbon wax and wax having polar groups such as fatty acids.
[Hydrocarbon wax]
· Fischer-Tropsch wax ... Made by the reaction of carbon monoxide and hydrogen.
· Polyethylene wax ··· Made by the polymerization of ethylene or by the thermal decomposition of polyethylene.
Main applications are adhesives, resin lubricants, etc.
[Fatty acid wax]
A solid at normal temperature consisting of higher fatty acid esters, fatty acids amides, ketones, amines and hydrogenated oils.
Main applications are cosmetics, crayons, etc.
