Rubbers

A polymeric substance that has or can be given the following properties; (1) undergoes a considerably large deformation at room temperature with application of a small stress, which rapidly returns to its original shape when the stress is removed. (2) It cannot be easily formed into a permanent shape by applying heat and moderate pressure. The term rubber is also used for products made from rubber.
